Republic Pictures released Down Dakota Way in 1949 starring Roy Rogers, wife Dale Evans and sidekick Pat Brady. Also along for the ride was Montie Montana, the famous rodeo performer and trick rope artist. A complete set of eight colorful lobby cards – so named because they were displayed in theater lobbies – in very fine+ condition galloped to a winning bid at auction of $203.15.

Roy Rogers, Wall Street Cowboy (1939) One Sheet Movie Poster

In this popular Republic Pictures feature the straight-shooting Roy takes on big city swindlers when a rare metal is discovered on his ranch. George "Gabby" Hayes and Raymond Hutton also appear. A standard one sheet poster (27x41-inches) in very fine/near mint condition sold at auction for $776.75.

Roy Rogers, Sheriff of Tombstone (1941) One Sheet Movie Poster

Roy and sidekick Gabby Hayes find themselves in Tombstone, Arizona Territory, where Roy is mistaken for a hired gunslinger. A one sheet movie poster (27x41-inches) in fine condition brought $262.90 at auction.

Roy Rogers Comics Dell Four Color #177

Roy Rogers was featured in several comic book series. A Dell Four Color comic #177 – published in 1947 – in CGC very fine+ 8.5 condition rode to a top bid of $239 at auction.

Official Roy Rogers Riders Club Comic Book

In 1952 an unnumbered Official Roy Rogers Riders Club comic book was issued by Dell. Featured on the cover are Roy, horse Trigger and his dog Bullet. One example in CGC near mint 9.4 condition sold at auction for $227.05.

Roy Rogers was the subject of his own daily comic strip in the funny papers courtesy King Features Syndicate. A collection of six Roy Rogers original comic art dailies from 1955 as rendered by Hy Mankin brought $191.20 at auction.

Roy Rogers Marx Playset

The original Roy Rogers Ranch playset was made by Louis Marx & Co. in 1952 as a tie-in product for NBC-TV's The Roy Rogers Show (1951-57). When found complete and its original box this highly collectible item can sell for over $250.
